CME has been providing professional surveying services to clients throughout New England since the 1870s. We provide boundary, topographic, aerial control surveys and construction staking services. In addition to providing survey support to the other CME technical groups, the Group also maintains on-call contracts to government agencies and provides independent surveys for others. Our Survey Group is highly sought-after by Landscape Architects and others who want the accuracy and attention to detail for which CME is known.
The Survey Group staff includes Professional Land Surveyors, trained field staff and CAD technicians. Our Professional Land Surveyors are licensed to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. Our field personnel are OSHA HAZWOPER (29CFR1910.120)and OSHA Site Supervisor (29CFR1910.120e) certified. Our CAD technicians are trained in computer-aided design and drafting using AutoCAD/Softdesk and Intergraph's Microstation software, as well as software for use in survey analysis and project management.
The Survey Group uses conventional and GPS surveying equipment. Our equipment includes electronic total stations and data collectors, sub-meter GPS (appropriate for resource mapping), automatic levels and all associated survey
equipment and supplies. We provide multiple crews complete with total stations, data collectors and related equipment, and a crew for special services using GPS, automatic level or theodolite with EDM.
