CME works with area businesses, municipalities and non-profit organizations to bring structures into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Legislation. The most important part of this process, especially with Historical Structures, is to ensure that the new elements will blend seamlessly with the existing architecture. This is an area in which CME Architecture excels.

KILLINGLY TOWN HALL ADA UPGRADES Danielson, CT :: As a part of an on-call services contract with the town, CME Architecture provided architectural design services to the town for renovations and modifications to the Town Hall building. The Town of Killingly initiated accessibility improvements that included the design and construction of a covered exterior ramp. The challenge for the design team was to create an aesthetically pleasing and functional structure that complimented the 1890 brick Victorian Town Hall building. In addition to design services, CME acted as the Construction Administrator for the town and provided oversight during construction. The completed ramp provides safe and secure access to the Town offices.
