The Construction Inspection and Administrative team has many years of experience providing administrative support to roadway, building and facility, structural, drainage and landscape engineering projects. The staff is skilled in coordinating resources, maintaining detailed records of daily progress and transactions and providing oversight for budgeting/audits; scheduling; safety, labor (DBE/MBE participation), wage certification, and regulatory compliance. They manage all phases of a project from bidding assistance to project closeout.
ROAD RECONSTRUCTION: POLAND STREET & ELM STREET Webster, MA :: Under our On-Call Town Engineering contract, CME provided the town with the design plans, construction management, inspection and administrative services for the reconstruction of Poland and Elm Streets. Administration and Inspection services:
Meetings - pre-construction & public to review project, provide emergency contact information
Held pre-construction meeting
Construction schedule and Material shop drawing review
Preparation, review and coordination of plan for management and protection of traffic and pedestrians
Wage rate certifications and review
Change order and payment request review, preparation, and processing
Coordination of inspection and testing
Coordination with local utilities
Coordination and resolution of neighbor/resident complaints and problems
Field inspection of construction to verify conformance to design plans, verification of change orders and payment items
Preparation of daily construction reports, construction field books, including a daily log and documentation of payment items
Documentation through digital photographs
Attendance at weekly construction meetings
Engineering response to construction issues during construction
Project closeout, including final walk through, preparation of substantial completion paperwork, punch lists, and town department coordination
