CME can assist in finding the balance between the financial and strategic goals of the developer and the regulatory responsibilities and comprehensive plan of the municipality. CME's talented and experienced Planning & Real Estate Development staff is well versed in law, regulation, practices, and permitting and understands the issues from both sides of the Commission table. By examining the legal aspects and physical characteristics of the proposed site, we are able to assess the overall suitability of property for development. Once the resources of a property are assessed, the team can assist developers in weighing options for potential uses of the land.
EAST CAMPUS FEASIBILITY STUDY
Central Connecticut State University
New Britain, CT :: The East Campus Feasibility Study was designed to evaluate the feasibility of future development and utilization of the Central Connecticut State University "East Campus" property and several adjoining and nearby parcels.
The project involved gathering, compiling and reviewing a variety of data including the development of site base mapping; site data collection and analysis; site traffic data collection and analysis; site development potential and program; existing network traffic volumes; future traffic volumes and trip generations; assignment of future network traffic volumes. Three program related alternatives were developed including site geometric roadway layouts; preparation of site feasibility plan layouts; test of traffic intersection capacities; and cost estimates for each of the three schemes. Finally, the selection and development of the preferred master plan and geometric layout presented to the CCSU Facilities Planning Commission and formalized in a final feasibility study report.
