CME provides all manners of planning support including Community Outreach. CME's planners utilize technical and administrative staff to organize and conduct surveys, informational mailers, focus groups, seminar, informational meeting, etc to obtain public support and buy in on key projects.

DOWNTOWN PUTNAM VISIONING
Putnam, CT :: CME worked with the Town Community Development Office (CDO) to develop and conduct visioning sessions and develop a Vision Plan for the Downtown District. In preparation for the sessions, CME reviewed overall project goals; developed the framework for the sessions; and assembled the key participants and stakeholders. CME then conducted three sessions, which including analysis of the Downtown's strengths and weaknesses, identification of desirable elements of vibrant downtowns, and development of a consensus among each stakeholder group (Planning, Zoning, merchants, Economic Development, Police, etc.) as to the ultimate vision and how and if those roles will adapt to the vision.

CME then assisted the Town and stakeholder in the development of priorities and action steps. Priorities were ranked to indicate which elements of implementing the vision was of most importance. Following that, action plans were developed to ensure conformance to the goals and vision and assist in keeping communication free and open.
