PROJECT EXPERIENCE
The Shoppes at Brooklyn Commons ::
CME prepared the site design and managed the permitting for the construction of a new commercial development in scenic in Brooklyn, CT. The site was designed to accommodate a pharmacy, grocery store, bank and retail shops on 9.81 raw, undeveloped acres and incorporated Best Management Practices.
The parcel chosen for the project was a high-visibility location abutting a busy McDonald's fast food restaurant and its proximity to major state Routes and Highways. Its close proximity to this high traffic location warranted the creation of a new intersection to regulate the flow of traffic around the site. CME conducted traffic studies and designed the new intersection, signalization, widening and realignment of State Route 6. CME also coordinated the development of traffic signalization for the site and provided State and local permitting services for the project.
