For a brief synopsis, CLICK HERE
SYNOPSIS
Many types of Best Management Practices (BMPs) are available to designers and planners to treat and manage storm water. Not all are easy or cost effective for a municipality to maintain. Municipalities should specify designs that help them reduce the costs and responsibilities of managing and maintaining them. This seminar gives examples of BMPs that work well for municipalities and provides a sample ordinance to help towns adopt bylaws requiring certain developments or developers to implement these BMPs according to town requirements at the planning stage. BMP design and maintenance features as well as sample bylaws will be discussed.
