CME's design involves replacement of the steel superstructure and salvaging the historic stone foundations.
The new structure will be a two span weathering steel bridge. Architectural features such as stone form liner, concrete parapets and a decorative fence will be incorporated in order to complement the adjacent historic Cheney Mills.
The original stone abutments that originate in the 1800s have been salvaged.
